PGA Tour winner Michael Kim has ripped into golf legend Jack Nicklaus' famed PGA National as his most "hated" course on the circuit's rota.

Kim, who earned his first and only PGA Tour title to date with a record eight-stroke victory on 27-under par at the 2018 John Deere Classic, took to Twitter to give his followers greater insight into the courses he likes and dislikes the most on the schedule.

The 30-year-old American narrowly missed out on competing in the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs after finishing 79th in the standings.

Only the top 70 on the list progressed into this week's FedEx St Jude Championship.

Earlier this week, Kim had something to say about Justin Thomas being booted out the Playoffs.

"You don't feel that awful," tweeted Kim.

Last night, Kim started by revealing his favourite golf courses on the PGA Tour.

Unsurprisingly, he stuck TPC Deere Run (where he picked up his sole PGA Tour title) at the top of his list, albeit he ranked it 0 with a trophy emoji.

Kim then listed Pebble Beach at No.1, Riviera in second, Torrey Pines South Course at three, Colonial in fourth and Harbour Town in fifth.

"I'm a west coast guy that likes west coast courses," tweeted Kim, who then contemplated whether to post his bottom-five golf courses on the PGA Tour.

While Kim has yet to reveal all five of his most hated courses, he did pick out his most hated, and he headed straight to Palm Beach Gardens in Florida for Nicklaus' PGA National, home of the Honda Classic.

The course has hosted the tournament since 2007 but Honda has now terminated its partnership with the tournament.

It will be known as the Classic in The Palm Beaches in 2024.

PGA National is most famous for its fearsome three-hole water stretch called 'The Bear Trap' at holes 15, 16 and 17.

Kim tweeted:

"Ok fine guys. One course I'm not afraid to hate on is PGA National. I don't like that it's Bermuda grass. The greens have more sand on than grass on it most of the time. You can lose your ball on 14/18 holes. You get mud balls very often. The 6th hole being a par 4 is sto stupid with how shallow and firm that green is as it was designed as a par 5. There's a million better courses in that area but none of them wants to host a PGA Tour event. Sorry rant over. That was therapeutic in a way. Can't wait to play in next year."

While we cannot possibly pass comment on Kim's tweet given we have never had the privilege of playing PGA National, what is evident is that a number of the world's best players on the PGA Tour have passed up the opportunity to play in the Honda Classic over recent seasons.

That has no doubt been a big reason for the brand pulling the plug on its partnership with the PGA Tour event.

With that in mind, PGA National also isn't one of the new signature events on the 2024 PGA Tour schedule

But Kim wasn't yet done bashing record 18-time major champion Nicklaus there.

He later replied to a fan's tweet where he brought another one of his courses into his most hated picture:

"Was debating whether to do a rant on PGA National or Memorial and settled on PGA."

Poor Jack.

Some 10 months ago, Kim daggered a fellow pro over a Nicklaus comparison.
