PING wins the driver count at PGA Tour's RSM Classic

It says a lot to us at GolfMagic.com when we learn PGA Tour professionals are using golf clubs that they're not getting paid a single cent to use - something that makes the leading PING driver count even more impressive at the RSM Classic last week.

PING led the driver count at Sea Island Golf Club with 40 drivers in play, of which a mammoth 39 of them were from the brand's G400 family consisting of LST (20), Max (13; as used by the PGA Tour's longest hitter Cameron Champ) and Standard (6).

Andrew Landry was the only player in the field not using a G400 driver, instead continuing to favour his G30.

The biggest takeaway from this driver count, however, is the revelation that 44% (17) of those G400 driver users were non-contracted players.

Patrick Reed, who finished runner-up at the European Tour's season-ending DP World Tour Championship on Sunday, is probably the biggest non-contract PING G400 driver user right now.
