Sometimes a moment just sums up a score line. This failed high five between Sebastian Munoz and Sungjae Im at the 2022 Presidents Cup did just that.

Things weren't going well for Trevor Immelman's rest-of-the-world side after two days' play at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte.

Even one of his players kept on having issues with ripping his trousers.

They trailed by a margin of 8-2 into the weekend despite briefly threatening to reduce the score line a little bit on Friday afternoon.

In the end, Max Homa came up clutch with two birdies alongside Billy Horschel at the 17th and 18th holes to give the U.S. side what looked like an insurmountable lead in the final match on Friday.

As for Munoz and Im, they tied their afternoon four-ball match against the pairing of good pals Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns.

Remarkably, Scheffler is the first reigning World No.1 who has failed to win any of his opening matches in Presidents Cup history.

Still, at least he wasn't involved in a moment as awkward as this. The folks over at No Laying Up managed to record the moment...

Despite looking at the possible outcome of a record defeat, captain Immelman wasn't going to let the score line dampen his spirits going into the weekend.

"I don't need to say much," he told the media. "These guys are hungry and motivated. The score line may make you think differently, but these guys are hungry and motivated, man. They want to be here. They want to compete. Not much needs to be said.

"Inside our locker room is a great place to be. It's a great place to be. We have got an incredible group here, and I'm talking about not just players. I'm talking about our spouses and partners. I'm talking about the caddies.

"I'm talking about our back room staff. We have an incredible group here, and we have had a blast from the minute we touched down in this great city.

"Would we like the score to be a little closer right now? Absolutely. But there's two days left, and we'll be playing as hard as you can play. Promise."
