Odyssey Works Versa #1 Wide Putter - Looks

The black and white colour scheme and simple alignment aid makes the putter easy to line up with the hole, and gives it an overall classy aesthetic.

The head shape is fairly traditional, although it has been widened, which elevated our confidence standing over the ball.

The silver insert looks technical and modern in the face.

Odyssey Works Versa #1 Wide Putter - Feel

Odyssey’s Fusion RX insert is, as you would expect, extremely soft. However, it still offers a high level of feedback.

It’s easy to see why this insert is the brand’s most popular – full marks in the feel department.

Odyssey Works Versa #1 Wide Putter - Performance

Widening the putter has bolstered its stability considerably, helping us on shorter putts. For a blade putter, the Odyssey Works Versa #1 Wide putter is easy to keep square through impact.

It also offers a decent amount of forgiveness, no matter whether you strike it towards the heel or toe end.

The Metal-X roll pattern on the face seemed to do its job, with the ball rolling end-over-end straight off the face, with no skids or bumps taking it off line.

This helped us judge speed on mid to long putts. From distance, there are few better blade putters on the market, and this was a shot in the arm to our confidence when lining up a long jab.

Should you buy the Odyssey Works Versa #1 Wide Putter?

Boasts the benefits of a blade putter with extra stability. Superb feel and feedback, easy to line up, and relatively stable through impact.

Another knockout from Odyssey.
