Dustin Johnson surged into a tie for the lead with Sebastian Munoz in the second round of LIV Golf Indianapolis on Saturday.
Johnson, 41, carded a flawless 64 to go alongside his brilliant 62 on day one to join Munoz out in front on 16-under par.
Munoz vaulted to the top of the board on day one after shooting a stunning 59, a round that commentator David Feherty felt toppled anything he had ever seen by Tiger Woods.
That not only marked the third sub-60 round in LIV Golf history but also the first ever 59 in professional history with a double bogey on the card.
Munoz held a two-shot lead heading down the 18th hole in the second round but he made his second double of the week to card a 67 and fall back into a share of the lead with Johnson.
Johnson is seeking a fourth career win on LIV Golf and his first of the season.
Munoz is looking for his first title.
Johnson has endured a tough season to date and his chance of receiving a captain pick's from Keegan Bradley on the 2025 US Ryder Cup team looks extremely unlikely now.

Johnson and Munoz lead by four shots over the chasing pack, which includes Adrian Meronk, Patrick Reed, Henrik Stenson, Thomas Pieters, David Puig and Joaquin Niemann.
Jon Rahm is then a further shot back on 11-under par, which is just inside the top 10.
Niemann started the week 12 points clear of Rahm in the race for the LIV Golf Individual Championship.
This week's tournament marks the final regular event of the season.
As it stands, Niemann will go on to win his first season title, but it very much remains in the balance.
Rahm is looking to become the first player in LIV history to defend the Individual Championship.
