Genesis Scottish Open handed another boost as Ryder Cup stars join field
European Ryder Cup stars Matthew Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood are the latest players to commit to the $9m DP World Tour event ahead of the final men's major of the year at Royal Birkdale.
European Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood and Matthew Fitzpatrick have become the latest high-profile additions to the Genesis Scottish Open.
The $9m DP World Tour event will once again be played at the Renaissance Club in East Lothian over 9-12 July.
It will serve as valuable preparation for The Open at Royal Birkdale a week later.
World number one Scottie Scheffler, 29, and Masters champion Rory McIlroy, 37, have already confirmed their participation,
Other notables in the field include the likes of PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai, Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Viktor Hovland and home favourite Robert MacIntyre.

"I've played well at the Genesis Scottish Open over the years and it's an event I always enjoy coming back to," said Fleetwood, who will be making his 12th appearance in the Rolex Series event.
"It's in a great spot in the calendar in the week before The Open, so hopefully it's a memorable fortnight this time around, playing in the home of golf and then on some home turf at Royal Birkdale."
Fitzpatrick, who won the 2022 U.S. Open and boasts an impressive record of three top 10 finishes in 12 appearances at the Genesis Scottish Open, said: "It's been an enjoyable season so far, winning twice on the PGA Tour and sharing the victory in New Orleans with Alex, and I'm pleased to have the Genesis Scottish Open as part of my upcoming schedule.
"It's always a great week, with the players from the DP World Tour and PGA Tour coming at the Renaissance Club."

Elsewhere, Si Woo Kim, 30, will also return to make his fifth appearance.
America's Chris Gotterup will return to defend his title.
In 2025, Gotterup was tied for the lead with the aforementioned McIlroy heading into the final round, but signed for a 66 to win by two.
The Genesis Scottish Open marks the first event of the Closing Swing - the fifth and final Global Swing on the DP World Tour's 2025/26 Race to Dubai schedule.
This year marks the 44th edition of Scotland's national Open since it was one of the founding events on the DP World Tour - formerly known as the European Tour - in 1972.
It has been a permanent fixture on the DP World Tour schedule since 1986.
In 2017, it became part of the Rolex Series - the DP World Tour's premium event category.
It was further elevated in international significance, becoming the first-ever tournament to be co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in 2022.
