Bryson DeChambeau drops cryptic ‘I’m coming home’ hint ahead of Monday announcement
The two-time U.S. Open champion has confirmed he will make an announcement on Monday, but has given little away about what he plans to reveal.
Bryson DeChambeau has sent golf fans into speculation mode after confirming he will make a major announcement on Monday at 12pm CT.
The two-time U.S. Open champion took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon to post two cryptic graphics, with one confirming an announcement is coming on Monday and another carrying the message: “I’m coming home.”
DeChambeau, 33, offered no further explanation, leaving fans to guess what exactly he has planned.
Could it be related to LIV Golf, his playing future, his hugely successful YouTube channel, or something completely different?
For now, there is no official indication of what DeChambeau intends to reveal, but the timing is certainly intriguing.
DeChambeau remains a LIV Golf player and captain of Crushers GC, alongside Paul Casey, Anirban Lahiri and Charles Howell III.
LIV Golf's 2026 season ended last month, bringing its original model to a close following the decision by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) to withdraw its financial backing.
Earlier this month, LIV Golf confirmed that it had entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States as it attempts to restructure.
The development could have significant implications for the league's players, with existing contracts expected to be addressed through the court-supervised process.
According to BBC Sport, players are not obliged to sign up for the proposed next iteration of LIV Golf, regardless of whether they previously signed multi-year contracts.
The bankruptcy proceedings are being handled in New Jersey, while the filing revealed that several of LIV's biggest names — including DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Cameron Smith — are still owed millions.
The situation has also fuelled speculation over the futures of some of LIV's biggest stars.
Rahm has been heavily linked with a potential departure from the league, with reports suggesting he could return to the DP World Tour in 2027.
No official decision has been confirmed, however, but Rahm would not confirm or deny the latest rumours at Wentworth this week.
DeChambeau, meanwhile, has been expected to remain with LIV Golf for its next iteration, although that has not been officially confirmed either.
That makes his cryptic Instagram post particularly interesting.
The phrase “I’m coming home” could potentially hint at a return to a particular tournament, LIV Golf or chapter of his career.
Equally, it could have nothing to do with golf at all.
DeChambeau has also developed one of golf's biggest online brands through his YouTube channel, meaning there are plenty of potential explanations for Monday's announcement.
For now, though, the Crushers GC captain is keeping his plans under wraps.
All will be revealed 12pm CT Monday.
