LIV Golf partners with the R&A and USGA to raise course standards worldwide
LIV Golf strengthens course preparation with R&A and USGA expertise across all events.

LIV Golf has announced a major move to enhance course conditions across its 14-event global schedule, confirming a new alignment with The R&A Sustainable Agronomy Service and USGA Green Section.
The league has confirmed it will introduce a unified agronomic evaluation and preparation framework, drawing on the expertise of both the R&A and USGA to ensure host venues are presented at peak competitive condition — while also maintaining an environmentally responsible approach.
The 2026 LIV Golf season spans 10 countries across five continents, and the new framework aims to deliver consistent, championship-calibre standards throughout each of its tournaments on the schedule.
"Our commitment to delivering championship-calibre playing conditions and world-class competition across the LIV Golf League is strengthened by our alignment with The R&A Sustainable Agronomy Service and the USGA Green Section," said Ross Hallett, EVP, Head of Events at LIV Golf.
"Across 14 host cities worldwide, the preparation of our courses is fundamental to the success of each event.
"By implementing a comprehensive agronomic framework informed by the expertise of golf’s leading entities, we are able to elevate competitive standards year after year and ensure playing environments reflect the highest levels of professional sport.
"Our athletes are among the most competitive and knowledgeable in the game, and competing on courses prepared to exacting global standards is essential to supporting both performance evolution and sustained excellence.
"We appreciate the continued leadership of The R&A and the USGA and their enduring commitment to advancing the game at the highest level."

Both The R&A Sustainable Agronomy Service and the USGA Green Section provide global consultation on course management, offering guidance rooted in modern agronomic practices, sustainability, and long-term course stewardship. Their work focuses on helping venues adapt to changing conditions, preserve course character and optimise playing surfaces for competitions at every level of the game.
LIV Golf claims the new partnership reinforces its commitment to leaving a lasting impact at host venues. That includes ongoing investment in course conditions, infrastructure and clubhouse facilities, alongside sustainability initiatives designed to support environmentally responsible events.

The latest LIV Golf update comes hot on the heels of the league finally receiving Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.
LIV Golf also recently announced a new broadcast deal with TNT Sports, much to the delight of British golf fans.
The 2026 LIV Golf League season is already underway, having begun this month at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia and The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia.
The Adelaide event, won by a resurgent Anthony Kim last weekend, set a new attendance record for LIV Golf and became the largest professional golf event in Australian history, drawing more than 115,000 fans.
