Golf world mourns tragic loss after Argentine professional golfer dies aged 31
Argentine golfer Exequiel López, who played on PGA Tour Latinoamérica, has passed away at the age of 31.

The golfing world in Argentina and across Latin America is mourning the loss of Exequiel López, who has died at the age of 31.
López, a respected member of the TPG Argentino and a competitor in 12 PGA Tour Latinoamérica events between 2017 and 2023, passed away on Thursday.
No details regarding the cause of death have been confirmed at this time.
Born in Pilar, Buenos Aires, López emerged from CUBA Fátima and developed into one of Argentina's dedicated touring professionals.
After turning professional in 2016, he went on to compete on PGA Tour Latinoamérica, now PGA Tour Americas, while remaining an active presence on the Argentine professional circuit.
Throughout his career, López represented Argentine golf with pride, competing against many of the region's leading players.
His best recorded round in PGA Tour Latinoamérica competition came at the 2019 Termas de Río Hondo Invitational, where he carded a 70 at Río Hondo Golf Club.
Golf Channel Latin America confirmed the heartbreaking news on Friday, sharing a tribute on social media.
"A sad day for Latin American and Argentine golf," the broadcaster wrote.
"Exequiel López, golfer from the TPG Argentino and participant in 12 PGA Tour Latinoamérica events between 2017 and 2023, passed away this Thursday at the age of 31.
"Golf Channel LA sends its condolences and a warm hug to Exequiel's family during this difficult time."
