Golf fans react after learning PGA professional Michael Block has received an invite into this week's Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour.
Golf fans been reacting to the latest news that PGA professional Michael Block has received another sponsor's invite into this week's Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour.
Block, 48, burst on the scene with an impressive T15 during the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
The highlight of his week was dunking an ace while alongside Rory McIlroy in the final round.
As a result of that performance, Block has since received a number of invites into PGA Tour events.
Immediately after the greatest golf week of his career, Block was handed an invite to compete in the following week's Charles Schwab Challenge.
He went on to miss the cut.

Block then received further PGA Tour invites into the RBC Canadian Open and the World Wide Technology Championship that season.
He missed the cut in both of them too.
Block then got the chance to compete in the Australian Open on the DP World Tour for the first time in his career just before the end of 2023.
He thankfully played well there, finishing T27.

Block, to his credit, qualified to play in last week's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club.
That was his first event on Tour in 2025.
But the popular American went on to card rounds of 75 and 82 to miss the cut by 14 shots on 15-over par.
Block is currently ranked 2,616th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

Tournament officials at Charles Schwab have once again handed Block a third straight invite into their 2025 PGA Tour event at famed Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
Block has now received seven invites into PGA Tour events.

The decision to award Block an invite into the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge has certainly divided opinion on golf social media.
Block will now be competing in his eighth PGA Tour event since his T15 at the 2023 PGA Championship.
"He's the new Rickie Fowler of sponsor exemptions," joked one PGA Tour fan.
"Love Blocky, good for him," wrote one fan.
Another commented: "I'm sorry, this is a total joke now. He's nowhere near good enough for the PGA Tour."
"Good call PGA Tour, he's fun to watch," tweeted one fan.
"I feel sorry for those guys lower down on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour who are denied a spot over this guy," tweeted a frustrated PGA Tour fan.
