Justin Thomas reveals what top PGA Tour players really want amid 2027 schedule leak
Justin Thomas spoke to reporters ahead of the Charles chwab Challenge on the PGA Tour.

Justin Thomas says "most of the top players" simply want to build their schedules around the majors.
The jigsaw pieces are beginning to fall into place at the PGA Tour's HQ.
New chief executive Brian Rolapp, appointed last June, has been working on a more streamlined model set to take effect from the 2027 season onwards.
Sports Business Journal reported on Wednesday that the PGA Tour is set to introduce a major shake-up to its Florida Swing next season, impacting some of its biggest spring events.
The most significant change is expected to come 12 months later, when fields are divided into "Track 1" and "Track 2" events.
Golfweek has reported that players eligible for elite Track 1 events would be discouraged, or potentially barred, from competing in Track 2 tournaments.
"Everybody's different," Thomas told reporters before the Charles Schwab Challenge when asked for his opinion on the potential changes and how he plans his own schedule.
"I would say the most, the first and foremost, most important thing that a lot of the top guys, a lot of, anybody that's in the majors, you're going to at least I would think, is what's going to prepare me the best for the major.
"So like I've had success in majors when I play the week before. But playing San Antonio [Valero Texas Open] the week before the Masters for me doesn't feel like that's getting me prepared as much as possible for the Masters. Therefore, I don't play San Antonio.
"I had a year where the PGA, when it was at Southern Hills I wanted to play the week before Byron Nelson, it's easy travel, and I played the week before.
"So it's very situational of when you play, don't play in that regard.
"But I mean I really, really, really try with all my might to not do four in a row, four in a row is like I'm not fun to be around.
"It's very taxing. So I try to cap it at three.
"And, yeah, there's a lot of great tournaments, we're very fortunate to have to miss some great events, but you have to at some point. So just kind of start with the majors and fill it in here and there, I guess."
What changes are planned?
According to SBJ, a memo was sent to PGA Tour players on Tuesday outlining new dates for the Cadillac Championship, Valspar Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Under the revised PGA Tour schedule for 2027, the Florida Swing will begin as normal with the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches following the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles.
However, the PGA Tour will then head to Trump Doral in Miami for the Cadillac Championship from 4-7 March, before The Players Championship takes place a week later from 11-14 March.
One of the biggest changes sees the Arnold Palmer Invitational moved from 18-21 March, directly after The Players Championship rather than occupying its traditional pre-Players slot.
The Valspar Championship has also been shifted away from its long-standing position after The Players, the PGA Tour's flagship event of the season. Instead, the tournament will now be staged from 6-9 May, serving as part of the build-up to the Truist Championship.
The schedule changes come after concerns surrounding this year's inaugural Cadillac Championship, which struggled to generate atmosphere and strong attendance while competing against Formula One's Miami Grand Prix weekend.
Several details surrounding the early part of the 2027 season are still to be confirmed.
The PGA Tour has yet to officially announce the date of the Torrey Pines event, which is widely expected to receive sponsorship backing from Sentry following Farmers Insurance's departure.
