A PGA Tour spokesperson has confirmed Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott will be back on the bag for the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake.

Scottie Scheffler will be reunited with his caddie Ted Scott at the PGA Tour's season finale.

The four-time major champion has been without his regular bagman over the last few weeks, but the pair will be back together at East Lake for the Tour Championship

Scott stepped away from carrying the sticks ahead of the Wyndham Championship owing to a 'private family matter' that was described as an 'emergency'.

Scheffler had his close friend and PGA Tour chaplain, Brad Payne, fill-in at the Wyndham and turned to Michael Cromie two weeks later at the BMW Championship.

Cromie loops for Chris Kirk, but was able to work for the World No.1 as the 40-year-old failed to advance to the second leg of the play-offs in Baltimore.

Scheffler won the BMW Championship by reeling in Scotland's Robert MacIntyre in an electric final round that included a dramatic chip-in at the 71st hole.

In the immediate aftermath of Scheffler's fifth individual win of the season - and 18th overall since his breakout 2022 season - the golfer praised Cromie.

"He's not a guy that's going to overreact to anything," Scheffler said.

"He did a really good job of just staying even keel all week and [was] kind of impervious to the pressure of a final round, and he did a really good job."

Scheffler wasn't sure if Scott was going to be back in action this week, but a PGA Tour spokesperson confirmed the news to GolfMagic.

"Ted Scott is in Atlanta and plans on caddying," the spokesperson said.

Scottie Scheffler shuts down reporter

Scheffler was asked about Scott's absence before the BMW Championship

One reporter asked Scheffler the likelihood of Scott being able to return to work for the $40m finale.

"I'm not going to answer anything like that," Scheffler blasted.

"If that's why you came out here, you're not going to get much.

"I think Ted's where he needs to be right now, and I think caddieing is probably the last thing on his mind, as it should be.

"I've been able to talk to him a few times. The family is in good spirits. Everybody seems to be doing well. I'm not going to comment any further on anything going on with his family."
