Scottie Scheffler confirms his first three starts of 2026 PGA Tour season
Scottie Scheffler confirms he will get his 2026 PGA Tour campaign underway at The American Express.
Scottie Scheffler has locked in his opening moves of the 2026 PGA Tour season – and he’s wasting no time getting back into the spotlight.
The runaway World No.1 will tee it up for the first time this year at The American Express in La Quinta, California later this month.
Scheffler, 29, has yet to crack a win at The AmEx, but he’s come close before, finishing tied third back in 2020 and adding a couple of other top-20 finishes to his record.
He sat this event out last season after undergoing hand surgery.
The American Express, running from 22–25 January, will be just the second event of the 2026 PGA Tour season.
Next week’s Sony Open in Hawaii gets the 2026 PGA Tour season underway, after the traditional curtain-raiser, The Sentry, was scrapped due to poor course conditions at drought-hit Kapalua.
Scheffler to play in The AmEx, WM Phoenix Open and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Scheffler won’t be short of star company when he tees it up in the Californian desert for The AmEx, with Akshay Bhatia, Patrick Cantlay, Rickie Fowler and defending champion Sepp Straka already confirmed in the field.
And that’s not all.
Scheffler has also committed to the WM Phoenix Open from 5–8 February and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am from 12-15 February.
The WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale is a happy hunting ground for the Texan.
He lifted the trophy there in both 2022 and 2023, with his first victory at TPC Scottsdale marking the breakthrough moment of his PGA Tour career.
Scheffler has never won at Pebble Beach, so he will be looking to emulate what Rory McIlroy did in 2025 and win there for the first time.
Scheffler won six times on the PGA Tour in 2025 including two majors.
That took his PGA Tour win tally to 19, and his major haul to four.
Scheffler will have the chance to complete the career grand slam at the US Open in June.
