Paige Spiranac says she would pick two LIV Golf players in the US Ryder Cup team, and she would DROP Justin Thomas!

Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac has revealed if she was 2023 US Ryder Cup captain then she would hand two picks to LIV Golf players Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson

Spiranac, 30, took to her Twitter with a short video to confirm her six picks.

The subject of US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson's picks has very much divided opinion on social media in recent weeks.

Here at GolfMagic, we considered LIV Golf's 'Mr 58' Bryson DeChambeau should have been firmly in the mix for a pick.

Only DeChambeau last week revealed he has received "zero communication" with the skipper ahead of the picks being made on August 29.

Johnson then confimed last week he will "probably pick six PGA Tour players, but necessarily."

But Koepka fell out of the six automatic spots in the US Ryder Cup team following the last counting event at the BMW Championship on Sunday.

That meant Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman, Max Homa and Xander Schauffele all qualified for the team.

It now leaves Johnson with something of a headache as to what to do with Koepka.

In the eyes of Spiranac, she considers five-time major champion Koepka must be the first of the six picks as he is simply a man who thrives under pressure on the big stage.

Koepka of course completed his US PGA hat-trick earlier in May and he finished runner-up behind Jon Rahm at The Masters in April.

He also won another title on LIV Golf.

Spiranac also explains how she would take LIV Golf's Dustin Johnson to the 2023 Ryder Cup, a man who went a record 5-0 at Whistling Straits last time out in 2021.

While DJ may have only won once on LIV Golf this season, and he picked up just one top-10 finish in the majors at the US Open, Spiranac considers his experience a must for the US Ryder Cup team who are going in pursuit of ending a 30-year winless spell away from home next month.

Paige might want to get some money on if she is confident Johnson will pick his namesake as DJ is an outside 7/1 shot to make the team as it stands.

The 2023 Ryder Cup will take place at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome, Italy, from September 29 to October 1.

WATCH SPIRANAC REVEAL HER SIX US RYDER CUP PICKS:

Spiranac says she would add four PGA Tour players to LIV Golf duo Koepka and Johnson.

That quartet would be Jordan Spieth, Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler and Keegan Bradley.

She thinks Young would make a great partner for Open champion Harman.

Interestingly, Spiranac said she would leave Collin Morikawa at home as his "putting is too risky".

Morikawa is a hot 1/4 shot to make the US Ryder Cup team as it stands.

Spiranac is also happy to leave Justin Thomas at home, a subject that has caused great debate of late.

Those views are in stark contrast to a former major champion who claims "it would be the worst call ever" if Thomas is not picked.

Thomas has endured his worst season to date on the PGA Tour, as a result missing out on the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the first time in his career.

While the two-time major champion and former World No.1 does have a very solid record in the Ryder Cup, especially alongside his good pal Spieth, it cannot be forgotten Thomas has missed six of his last 12 cuts on the PGA Tour.

But despite some indifferent form, the bookies remain confident Thomas will still earn his place in the team.

JT is a heavy odds-on shot to punch his ticket to Rome next month.
