Xander Schauffele Ryder Cup record: What is his overall record?

Two-time major champion Xander Schauffele will likely be relied upon heavily if Keegan Bradley's US team are to win back the Ryder Cup. 

Schauffele, 31, is making his third appearance for the red, white and blue at Bethpage Black in New York. 

The former Open champion made his Ryder Cup debut at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin four years ago. 

At the time, Schauffele was chosen as one of Steve Stricker's four captain's picks. 

His debut was excellent, with the golfer sharing a formidable partnership with Patrick Cantlay in the foursomes and four-balls. 

Schauffele's only defeat in 2021 came in the Sunday singles to Rory McIlroy, although Team USA ran out record 19-9 winners. 

Things were a bit different for Schauffele on his first Ryder Cup appearance in hostile territory in Italy two years ago. 

Schauffele played four matches - two with the aforementioned Cantlay - and lost three of them. 

He comfortably defeated Nicolai Hojgaard in the singles which briefly allowed Zach Johnson's US side to dream of an improbable comeback. 

But Luke Donald's Europe won by a comfortable five points. 

Schauffele qualified automatically for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and is more than likely to reprise his partnership with Cantlay.
