Sir Nick Faldo has predicted Europe will win the 2025 Ryder Cup by two points.

The 45th edition of the contest gets underway at Bethpage Black, New York, in a few weeks' time.

Keegan Bradley's Team USA are heavy favourites, with home advantage proving vital since the Miracle at Medinah in 2012.

Reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy has already claimed Europe are going to pull off a remarkable victory.

And Faldo, 68, is in agreement with the Northern Irishman, telling talkSPORT the only thing standing in their way is how they handle the crowd

The Englishman is one of the Ryder Cup's most significant figures, playing key roles in two away victories for Europe at Oak Hill and Muirfield Village.

Between 1977 and 1997, Faldo represented Europe on 11 occasions and amassed 25 points - a European record until Sergio Garcia surpassed him.

"Going to Bethpage Black, we know it, you know it, they know it – what's gonna be going on outside the ropes," Faldo told the station.

"That's the only thing they have to deal with. The number one thing is what's gonna go on outside the ropes.

"But so it won't come as any surprise as long as the guys are prepared for that.

"But I think we're gonna do it. I think we'll win 15-13. The guys know something's gonna happen. So they’ve got to have a plan on how they deal with it."

Faldo added: "I was chatting to Luke saying that the great thing about that golf course is it's a tough golf course. It's the second toughest in America.

"It's a bit like when we went to Oak Hill and we won away.

"You've got a you've got a better deal with that, so you can switch on 100 per cent to what you got to do with your shot, and I would have thought that will keep you focused."

Team Europe are once again using the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth next week as a reconnaissance trip.

All 12 members of the US team are teeing it up at the Procore Championship later this month as part of their preparations.

The 2025 Ryder Cup gets underway on 26 September. The aforementioned Bradley has confirmed the 45th edition will get underway with foursomes.

Brooks Koepka opens up on Ryder Cup omission

The US team will be without Brooks Koepka at Bethpage Black.

Koepka had a miserable 2025 season, missing cuts in three of the four major championships and failing to win on LIV Golf

The 35-year-old told reporters before the Irish Open he only had himself to blame and he's not going to make any excuses

"I played my way off it so I can’t be disappointed," Koepka said.

"I did it myself. It's not anything I'm not aware of. I'm not shying away from it. It's just bad timing.

"You have one down year but if it's the year after the Ryder Cup it’s a whole lot easier to play catch-up."

Koepka denied playing his golf on the PIF-backed breakaway has had anything to do with his dip in form.

"I don't think LIV had anything to do with me not being on the team but it was more of the timing of the year and trying to get that ball rolling which I've been doing," he said.

"I haven't played very good this year. It's felt good and then its completely disappeared. It ebbs and flows. Golf's crazy.

"You feel one minute you're never going to find it again and then all of a sudden its one swing and you're back for six months."

Golf analyst believes Bryson DeChambeau should be paired with Cameron Young

Elsewhere, former PGA Tour winner turned Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee has weighed in on who Bryson DeChambeau should team up with at Bethpage Black.

The LIV Golf recruit has a mixed Ryder Cup record over two appearances for the red, white and blue.

Despite being a solid four-balls player and a formidable opponent in the Sunday singles, DeChambeau has struggled somewhat in the singles.

He is also very particular about using a specific type of golf ball.

Chamblee reckons Cameron Young will be the perfect foil.

The 63-year-old also said he believes the Europeans want to win the Ryder Cup more.
