Every future PGA Championship venue confirmed after Aronimink
Bethpage Black, Kiawah Island, Oak Hill and PGA Frisco headline the confirmed list of future PGA Championship venues following the 2026 edition at Aronimink.
The final round of the 2026 PGA Championship concludes at Aronimink Golf Club tonight, but the PGA of America has already locked in an impressive list of venues for future editions of golf’s second major championship.
From iconic championship layouts to modern tournament venues, the PGA Championship’s upcoming rota reflects a blend of traditional American classics and contemporary powerhouses.
Courses such as The Olympic Club, Oak Hill and Bethpage Black will all soon return to the spotlight, while PGA Frisco’s Fields Ranch East is set to become a recurring fixture following the PGA of America’s move to Texas.
Unlike The Masters, which remains permanently at famed Augusta National, or the U.S. Open, which leans heavily on historic “cathedrals of golf” such as Oakmont and Pebble Beach, the PGA Championship continues to carve out its own identity with a more varied schedule of host venues.
The PGA Championship has regularly embraced modern layouts capable of producing dramatic birdie-filled finishes, while also revisiting revered venues steeped in major championship history.
There remains ongoing debate over the PGA Championship’s position in the golf calendar and whether the tournament should eventually expand internationally.
For now, however, the PGA of America appears committed to a United States-based rota featuring some of the country’s most recognisable championship courses.
Confirmed future PGA Championship venues
Year | Venue | Location | Course Architect(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
2027 | Omni PGA Frisco (Fields Ranch East) | Frisco, Texas | Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner | Modern championship venue at the PGA of America headquarters. Expected to play over 8,000 yards from the tips. |
2028 | The Olympic Club (Lake Course) | San Francisco, California | Sam Whiting & Willie Watson | Recently renovated by Hanse and Wagner ahead of its latest major championship test. |
2029 | Baltusrol Golf Club (Lower Course) | Springfield, New Jersey | A.W. Tillinghast | One of America’s most historic championship venues following a major restoration project in 2021. |
2030 | Congressional Country Club (Blue Course) | Bethesda, Maryland | Devereux Emmet | Andrew Green’s renovation restored much of the course’s original character while modernising it for elite golf. |
2031 | Kiawah Island Golf Resort (Ocean Course) | Kiawah Island, South Carolina | Pete Dye | One of the most scenic and demanding public courses in the United States. |
2032 | Southern Hills Country Club | Tulsa, Oklahoma | Perry Maxwell | A long-standing major venue revitalised by Hanse and Wagner in 2019. |
2033 | Bethpage State Park (Black Course) | Farmingdale, New York | A.W. Tillinghast | Famous for its demanding setup and passionate New York crowds. |
2034 | Omni PGA Frisco (Fields Ranch East) | Frisco, Texas | Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner | PGA Frisco will host the championship for a second time in just seven years. |
2035 | Oak Hill Country Club (East Course) | Rochester, New York | Donald Ross | Home of Brooks Koepka’s 2023 victory and another restored classic set for a return. |
The upcoming rota highlights the PGA of America’s continued preference for championship venues capable of hosting modern professional golf, with several courses having undergone extensive renovations in recent years.
Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco is perhaps the most intriguing addition.
Opened in 2023 and designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, the layout was specifically built with elite championship golf in mind and will host two PGA Championships before the middle of the next decade.
Meanwhile, fan favourites such as Bethpage Black, Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course and Oak Hill ensure the championship retains a strong connection to some of the game’s most memorable major venues.
Although speculation surrounding future international PGA Championships refuses to disappear, the confirmed rota through 2035 suggests the tournament’s immediate future remains firmly rooted in the United States.
