Golf’s second major of the season reaches its climax tonight as the final round of the 2026 PGA Championship gets underway at Aronimink Golf Club.
After three rounds at the PGA Championship, American Alex Smalley holds a two-shot lead heading into Sunday as he chases not only his maiden major title, but the first victory of his professional career.
Standing in his way is a stacked chasing pack featuring Ludvig Åberg, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele — all within striking distance heading into the final 18 holes.

McIlroy and Schauffele, who both start the final round three shots off the pace, are out in the featured group of the final round at 2.05pm local time.
Masters champion McIlroy is looking to win the first two majors of the season.
No player in the modern era has ever won all four majors in one calendar year.
The six-time major champion is also looking to complete his PGA hat-trick having won the tournament at Kiawah Island in 2012 and Valhalla in 2014.
Schauffele is seeking a third career major title, and his second Wanamaker Trophy having previously won the PGA Championship at Valhalla in 2024.
For 54-hole leader Smalley, he's going in search of not only a first career major but also a first title on the PGA Tour.
Smalley is joined by Germany's Matti Schmid in the final pairing of the day. Schmid is also looking to win for the first tme on Tour.
Elsewhere, world number one and defending champion Scottie Scheffler has work to do at five shots off the pace heading into Sunday's final round.
Scheffler is out with LIV Golf's David Puig exactly two hours before the final group tee off.
