Here's who would have won The Masters this week...

On April 6 we were blessed with the news that The Masters will go ahead this year, with the major being moved to November 12-15 and I for one can't wait to see the beauty of Augusta in fall, but that doesn't change the fact that we're all gutted knowing that Tiger Woods should have been defending his title this week.

The start of Masters week is supposed to be an exciting time where we all begin to predict who is going home with the green jacket, but instead we're stuck inside on lockdown without any live golf to watch.

With that in mind, we decided that we'd make The Masters happen this week - well, sort of - by using a tournament predictor to see who would have made the top 10 at Augusta this week and sorry to all the Tiger fans out there but it seems he would have let you down...

We entered the current top 50 players in the world rankings and the the predictor worked out what it thinks would have been the top 10 based on the following:

- Current form

- Course form

- Shot data

- Weather this week

- Player statistics

THE RESULTS

After an exciting tournament and another thrilling Masters, we can now reveal who would have made the top 10 at Augusta this week, starting in 10th and working our way down to the winner.

10th - LEE WESTWOOD - 7 UNDER PAR

A fantastic week for the Englishman at a course he loves so dearly resulted in the 47-year-old finishing in 10th place, a position I'm sure he would have been happy to hold if the tournament took place this week.

Four solid rounds from Westwood but he made his biggest move on Sunday where he shot three-under to finish seven-under par for the tournament.

9th - MARC LEISHMAN - 8 UNDER PAR

With a victory at this year's Farmers Insurance Open and a second-place finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Marc Leishman continued his fine form this year by coming 9th in the predicted Masters.

The Australian looked as though he could possibly challenge for the green jacket after the first two rounds but the world no.15 slowed the pace over the weekend, finishing eight-under par.

T7 - JUSTIN THOMAS - 9 UNDER PAR

Given this man's form over the last six months, I think Justin Thomas would have been hoping to challenge for his first green jacket this week but our predictor sees him in T7 at nine-under par.

He putted brilliantly all week and had his driving been a little more accurate, he could have found himself closer to the top of the leaderboard.

T7 - TYRRELL HATTON - 9 UNDER PAR

Joining JT in T7 is Englishman Tyrrell Hatton, currently 21st in the world rankings and playing some of the best golf of his life.

The 28-year-old won his first PGA Tour event at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and continued to fire some low scores to finish nine-under par at Augusta, a brilliant performance from Hatton.

6th - PATRICK CANTLAY - 10 UNDER PAR

In 6th place at 10-under par is American Patrick Cantlay who has proved to be one of the most consitent players on the PGA Tour and according to our predictor, the world no.7 would have had a fantastic four rounds at Augusta had it been played this week.

5th - SUNGJAE IM - 11 UNDER PAR

Now this one is a surprise! We expected to see Hideki Matsuyama make the top five but it's his Presidents Cup team mate Sungjae Im who takes fifth place!

Our predictor told us that Im would have made an incredible Masters debut and continued his fine form this season. Surely the 22-year-old is a future major winner?

T3 - PATRICK REED - 13 UNDER PAR

He might be the PGA Tour supervillain but this Patrick Reed has a lot of talent, hence why he already owns a green jacket.

The world no.7 (currently shared with Cantlay) putted perfectly to win the WGC-Mexico Championship earlier this year and despite the controversy around him in recent months, our predictor has Reed finishing in T3 at 13-under par.

T3 - BRYSON DECHAMBEAU - 13 UNDER PAR

With four top 10's in his last eight starts, Bryson DeChambeau is in excellent form as of late and his hard work in the gym has clearly been paying off, with the world no.13 currently 1st in Driving Distance on the PGA Tour, averaging 321.3 yards, something that would have made him very dangerous at Augusta this week.

Our predictor placed DeChambeau in T3 with his American team mate and friend Reed at 13-under par. Will DeChambeau win a major in the future?

2nd - JON RAHM - 14 UNDER PAR

According to our predictor, world no.2 Jon Rahm would have finished in second place at 14-under par, a stunning performance from the Spaniard.

Rahm's power off the tee and current form would have made him one of the favourites this week as he looks to win his first major championship, but at just 25 years of age, surely Rahm will go on to win multiple majors.

WINNER - RORY MCILROY - 16 UNDER PAR

Look away Rory McIlroy. Had The Masters been played this week, our predictor had the Northern Irishman as the winner by two shots, with a sensational score of 16-under par.

It's no surprise to see McIlroy predicted to win. The world no.1 is in the form of his life and this year was looking like the perfect time for McIlroy to complete a career Grand Slam and finally win his first green jacket.

McIlroy can still achieve that in November and he will be one of the hot favourites to win, but let's hope he continues his current form when the PGA Tour returns.

So there we have it, according to our predictor that is what the top 10 of The Masters would have looked like come Sunday had the players taken on Augusta this week.

These results were formed using current form and data, so it will be interesting to see just how close it comes to the real thing in November, but surely by then Brooks Koepka will be back in form and Dustin Johnson could be back to his best and look what happened last time everyone ruled out Tiger Woods...
