Bryson DeChambeau SLAMMED by golf fans for not shouting FORE at US Open!

Not for the first time in his career, Bryson DeChambeau was seen not shouting "FORE" after an errant tee shot on day three at the US Open - and he was rightly blasted for his actions by golf fans on social media.

DeChambeau went on to card an impressive 3-under 68 at Torrey Pines on Saturday to move within two shots of the lead with 18 holes to play as the big-hitting American goes in search of defending his title.

But despite his flawless round of golf, a large number of golf fans, and even former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley in the Sky Sports commentary box, were disgusted by DeChambeau's failure to simply shout "FORE" when his drive was heading straight into the crowd down the 4th hole.

Check out some of the tweets below:

While DeChambeau is by no means the only player to not shout "FORE" after an errant shot on the PGA Tour, it is certainly becoming a worrying trait, especially when you consider the speed at which balls are sailing into people wearing a T-shirt and pair of shorts.

With golf fans now returning in their thousands to PGA Tour events and majors, someone is going to get badly injured out there very soon unless golf's governing bodies come down hard on players failing to shout a simple word containing four letters.

DeChambeau could not even be bothered to signal a right arm.

Regardless of whether he intended to drive down the right side to set up an easier shot into the green, the fans out there were none the wiser and someone could have been very badly injured.

Come on Bryson, it doesn't take much.
