PGA Championship reignites controversial Masters drama with R1 & R2 groups!

Two players involved in a controversial moment at The Masters last month have been paired again for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship.

Two players involved in a controversial ruling incident at last month's Masters will play together again for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship this week.

Groups for the first two rounds at Oak Hill Country Club were announced Tuesday, with tons of star-studded LIV Golf and PGA Tour crossover.

World No. 1 and current Masters champion Jon Rahm headlines a group with reigning U.S. Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick, and LIV Golf's Cameron Smith.

Smith is the top-ranked LIV star at No. 8, and notably joined the rival league just a month after winning The Open Championship at St Andrews last year.

Defending champion Justin Thomas is in his own star-studded trio as he'll tee off with fellow major champions Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa.

Another group of heavy hitters is LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka with World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.

Woodland and Koepka played together during last month's Masters Tournament where the pair were involved in a controversial possible rules violation.

It appeared as though Koepka's caddie had signalled to Woodland's caddie what club he was using, which typically results in a two-stroke penalty.

However, Augusta National decided this had not occurred, and did not choose to penalize the LIV Golf star.
