Eddie Pepperell never fails to deliver when it comes to fearless comedy sketches and quick-witted remarks on the DP World Tour, and he is certainly one to follow for opinion and debate on social media.

Pepperell had an exchange on Twitter with LIV Golf player and DP World Tour stalwart Lee Westwood last week, with Pepperell saying, "Hard to know what to make of you these days Lee," in reference to his comments regarding the strategic alliance.

The Englishman has been extremely outspoken against the concept of playing professional golf purely for money. He tweeted on August 28: "Golf (for some) has gone from telling yourself over a six-footer that genuinely means something, that it doesn’t mean everything, to standing over a six-footer that means nothing, pretending it means something."

Similar to the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Scottie Scheffler, Pepperell doesn't regard financial gain as his prime motivation but it appears many of his European colleagues, such as Westwood, do.

Other players such as Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia and Martin Kaymer have jeopardised their future of playing in another Ryder Cup by moving to LIV, which plays into the hands of players like Pepperell who regularly play on the DP World Tour.

The 31-year-old addressed this topic in the second round of the Made in Himmerland, discussing what it would take to sway captain Luke Donald in his favour.

"Luke's a quiet fella, I suppose you'd need to loosen him up with some alcohol, so a nice bottle of red wine probably, then I'd have to cook him some dinner," said Pepperell, who is in tied 21st place after two rounds in Himmerland.

"I'm not much of a chef, but I'm going to throw Ragu out there. Then I suppose you're going to settle in for some television, aren't you? And a box of chocolates. What are we going to watch?

"We might want to watch some golf, could put Chronicles of a Champion Golfer on, might avoid the Henrik episode."

Henrik Stenson, who won The Open in 2016, pulled out of the LIV Golf Boston Invitational this week after suffering from vertigo. He won the third event of the Saudi-backed series in Bedminster.
