Thomas Pieters: WITB of Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship winner?

Thomas Pieters claimed his first ever Rolex Series win with a stunning performance at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. 

At Yas Links, the 29-year-old Belgian managed to win by one stroke over India's Shubhankar Sharma and Spain's Rafa Cabrera Bello. 

Pieters incidentally became the fist ever Belgian to win a Rolex Series event on the DP World Tour. 

Along with picking up 1,335 Race to Dubai points, Pieters' bank balance increased by $1,333,330 for his week's efforts. 

This was not the first time he tasted victory. It was his sixth DP World Tour win, his most recent coming at the Portugal Masters.
