GolfMagic visited Callaway's headquarters in the UK to fit one of our competition winners and subscriber with a new driver.
GolfMagic recently headed over to Callaway’s headquarters in the UK to fit a subscriber to our YouTube channel and competition winner with a custom fit driver.
Callum was our winner and he met up with our video and equipment editor Alex Lodge over at Chessington before being put through his paces and selecting his Callaway Rogue ST driver.
Inside the performance centre is everything obsessed golfers can possibly ask for. You name it, they’ve got it. This amazing facility fits amateurs and professionals.
Callum talked through his driving with Chris, Callaway’s experiential fitter. Callum said that driving is one of the stronger parts of his game, and it was evident in his consistency.
Callum tried out three different driver heads: the Rogue ST Max, Rogue ST Max LS and the Triple Diamond. Chris explained he wanted to bridge the gap between stable and allowing for spin.
After a period of fine-tuning what Chris wanted to see in Callum’s numbers, we had our chosen club. It was the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond with the Aldila 60 X shaft.
This was after Callum managed to hit a bomb of 323 yards.
"It was really interesting to go through the process," said Callum. "Going into it I have never been custom fit to this level," he added. "This is amazing. I had no real expectations, but I was blown out the water really."
