With its notorious length and insanely tight fairways, Bethpage's famed Black course is going to require every golfer at this year's Ryder Cup to bring their best driver game.

2025's showdown will, perhaps more than any Ryder Cup before it, see the players attempt to strike a balance between raw distance and precision. In the likes of Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, this year's Cup will play host to some of the longest hitters to ever grace the pro game. It'll also see some of the most accurate drivers on tour arrive as well, with Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, Russell Henley and Sepp Straka all sat safely within the PGA tour's 25 most accurate drivers.

With that in mind, and with more brands and models strewn throughout the bags of both Team Europe and Team USA than ever before, we thought it timely to take a look at the best driver models you'll most commonly see gracing the back tees at Bethpage Black this week.

The 5 most used drivers at this year's Ryder Cup

TaylorMade Qi10/Qi35

Used by: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa

Despite its renown as perhaps the most consistent and best-selling driver manufacturer on the market, TaylorMade's roster of staff players have an interesting relationship with the company's latest and greatest drivers. Most notably, the roster's two biggest names, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, both still play 2024's Qi10 model having spent 2025 unable to get comfortable with switching to the Qi35

McIlroy famously put a full suite of the Qi35 woods in his bag for this year's Canadian Open, but quickly switched back to the old model.  Likewise Scheffler, a golfer famously loath to make unneccessary equipment switches, has remained ardent in his use of the Qi10 and seems likely to for some time to come.

Thankfully for TaylorMade, the new model has found a couple of fans in Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa, who play the Qi35 and Qi35 LS models respectively. Fleetwood's notably carries a unique 'Dot' coding, which signifies that it has a slightly smaller, tour-only head that more closely mimics the proportions and feel of the Qi10.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke

Callaway's Paradym driver is something of a modern icon, and undisputedly one of the most acclaimed drivers in recent memory at both the pro and amateur levels. In fact, more players at this year's Ryder Cup will be gaming the Paradym Ai Smoke than any of the Elyte models that have released since.

Callaway staff players Rasmus Hojgaard and Sam Burns still both favour the Ai Smoke Triple Diamond variant, while free agent Justin Rose and Srixon staffer Sepp Straka also play the 2024 model driver having tested it extensively throughout this season.

It's worth noting, too, that you can grab one for yourself for around £350 if you're looking for a truly beloved driver on a budget.

PING G430/G440

Used by: Tyrrell Hatton, Ben Griffin, Harris English

PING drivers tend to be popular with both the American manufacturer's extensive roster of staff players and the tour's more brand agnostic players alike. As such, there will be plenty of PING drivers both past and present taking to the tees at Bethpage, with the current G440 and last year's G430 model both favourites.

Tyrrell Hatton is perhaps the most notable name to have recently switched into the G440 line, gaming the famously fast and forgiving G440 MAX, while Harris English and Ben Griffin both game variants of the G430. Viktor Hovland, meanwhile, still plays his trusty G425 LS.

Titleist GT2/GT3

Used by: Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay, J.J. Spaun, Justin Thomas

Titleist might be the most prolific driver manufacturer overall at this year's Ryder Cup, with four members of Team USA bringing the brand's latest GT drivers to Bethpage and a host of others still gaming the brand's previous models.

Cameron Young and Justin Thomas have both opted to put the larger, more forgiving GT2 in the bag, while Russell Henley and US Open Champ J.J Spaun, himself notably a Srixon Staff player, favour the GT3.

The brand's older model drivers still carry plenty of fans on tour as well. Matt Fitzpatrick still plays a Titleist TSi3 driver, while both Robert Macintyre and Viktor Hovland are yet to switch out of their trusted TSR2s.

Callaway Elyte

While the Ai Smoke remains enduringly popular and likely will for some time to come, Callaway's Elyte driver has also endeared itself to a couple of Callaway's biggest names. Both Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele switched into the new model for the 2025 season, and will be bringing the Elyte to Bethpage Black as a result.

In keeping with most high-level players to play Callaway drivers, both game the low-spin Triple Diamond variant.
