These denim-clad adidas Gazelles might be the craziest golf shoes of the year
Designed in collaboration with Tokyo imprint ANTi COUNTRY CLUB.

The modern game of golf has a funny relationship with denim. The workmanlike fabric, long the boon of old-school country club managers, is a common sight on casual courses across the land. But the notion of rocking jeans to a golf course of any prestige is almost unthinkable.
Never one to allow the game to rest on its laurels, adidas Originals have teamed up with Japanese golf streetwear label ANTi COUNTRY CLUB to turn convention on its head, dressing the recently-released Gazelle G golf sneaker up in an eye-catching patchwork of denim.
The shoe pays tribute to Japan's long affiliation with denim, subverting country club stereotypes in a cheeky way as it does so. The denim upper is crafted from two different types of denim, one rigid and one washed, stitched with raw cut edges for a more textural feel. A touch of old-school luxury is added through a removable quilted kiltie.

Gold lettering and branding provides a classic nod to the adidas Originals sneakers of old, with embossed branding along the side of the famed three stripes and a metallic trefoil on the back of each shoe.
Make no mistake about it, however: these are still very much a golf shoe. The spikeless lugged rubber outsole provides the same grip as the original Gazelle G. Naturally, however, it might not be one for taking out in the wet.
The Adidas Originals x ANTi COUNTRY CLUB Gazelle G is available now in extremely limited quantities.
