Scotty Cameron just dropped its stealthiest (and priciest) new putters to date

If Deadpool played golf, we'd wager this is the putter he'd use.

There's very little that gets golfing gear heads excited more than a new limited edition Scotty Cameron to collect. And while the monochrome Phantom Black Scotty released back in July was a welcome new addition to the range, it certainly left us hungry for more.

Thankfully, Scotty hasn't left us waiting long. Today, the California icon revealed a brand new limited edition line with a seriously eye-catching new design language, combining stealthy dark grey with bright lashings of Scotty Cameron's signature bright crimson.

Dubbed the Studio Xperimental Limited, the range remixes two iconic mid-mallet models, the Squareback 2 and Fastback 2, combining Cameron's renowned craftsmanship with a more in-your-face aesthetic. Dare we say it's slightly Deadpool in nature?

The price tag on either? A cool £729 (read: about £200 more than a standard Scotty).

What does your extra money get you? Well, outside of the luxury of owning a truly limited-edition Scotty of your own, a few things. The Studio Xperimental Limited line is finished in a sleek Steel Grey Finish,  given a durable PVD treatment for added glare and wear resistance.

“Studio Xperimental is all about sharing with players something special: prototype-inspired setups crafted for those who demand performance and technology with a clean, tour-proven look," says Cameron himself."

It has the same nickel-plated Studio Carbon Steel insert as Scotty's standard Studio Series putters, painted in a darker steel grey for an even more ominous look.

Both models in the Studio Xperimental Limited series also get a stiffer custom graphite shaft, murdered out to suit the look of the rest of the clubs and slightly counterbalanced for stability and precise feedback.

Each, however, are designed to cater for slightly different types of player. Per the brand, the "Squareback 2 offers a mid-mallet setup that delivers a squarer, more angular look at address for players who like to set up to sharper lines," while the Fastback too offers a more convention, rounded mid-mallet look at address.
