Lexi Thompson has parted ways with her Scottish golf caddie Kevin McAlpine ahead of this week's LPGA season finale at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples.
Thompson, 23, is enduring her first winless season as a Tour professional, and has faced a number of personal issues off the course.
She withdrew from the Women's British Open and took a month-long sabbatical over the summer. "I am taking time to recharge my mental batteries and want to focus on myself away from the game of professional golf," said Thompson in July.
Since returning from her self-imposed break, Thompson has two missed cuts and just one top 10 in six starts.
After being ranked as high as second in the world earlier this year, Thompson has fallen to eighth.
