Phil Mickelson recently revealed that he had been shying away from the public limelight because he hadn't been playing well and wasn't comfortable with himself at the time. Well he's now lost over a stone in weight and is back sharing some of his best golf stories on social media.
Mickelson recently revealed in a video on Twitter that he didn't want to be seen in public and had been quiet on social media because he was unhappy with his recent performances and his physical appearance.
He looked in a much healthier state as he proudly shared that he'd lost 15 pounds and was feeling good about himself again.
Unfortunately, the weight loss didn't seem to help his golf at the Open, as he shot eight over par over the first two rounds, failing to make the cut.
Mickelson, who won the Open back in 2013 at Muirfield, is still in good spirits despite his poor performance at the Open and has released another 'Phireside with Phil' video.
On the latest episode of the new video series from Mickelson, he was joined by three-time major champion and close personal friend, Padraig Harrington.
The two shared a story about a loser-buys-dinner bet between the pair, where things got pretty expensive for Harrington. Check out the brilliant story in the tweet below:
