LIV Golf Chicago field and teams confirmed: Two players out, two back in
Will Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC team win for the fourth consecutive LIV Golf event?
LIV Golf has today confirmed the 48 players in the field for its Chicago tournament that takes places at Rich Harvest Farms GC this week - and there are only two changes from the Boston tournament two weeks ago.
The big change to the field is that Henrik Stenson returns to action in the Majesticks team after the Swede was sidelined due to a bout of vertigo.
That means Shergo Al Kurdi is back on the reserve list.
Stenson of course won on his LIV Golf debut at Bedminster, just days after being sacked as 2023 European Ryder Cup captain.
Elsewhere, Spain's Adrian Otaegui has been removed from the field and he has been replaced by his compatriot David Puig.
Despite making his third appearance in a LIV Golf Tour event this week, Puig will be teeing up for the first ever time this week as a professional.
Puig, out of Arizona State, will now join the Torque GC team captained by Joaquin Niemann, who narrowly lost out in a playoff on his tournament debut in Boston.
Sergio Garcia is in the field this week despite withdrawing from the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth after the first round.
He was then seen attending a college football game less than 24 hours later.
According to The Telegraph, Garcia will be fined by the DP World Tour should he fail to provide "medical evidence deemed reasonable" for this withdrawal from the BMW PGA Championship.
It is understood that there will be no more signings on LIV Golf from now until the end of the season.
However, there is a huge rumour going round on social media today that a current World Top 10 is about to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.

The 4 Aces team captained by LIV Golf Boston champion Dustin Johnson is bidding to win a fourth consecutive tournament.
The team also comprises Talor Gooch and Patrick Reed, who finished fourth and tied fifth respectively on the DP World Tour last week, and Pat Perez, who has just seen his wife throw shade at Patrick Cantlay's fiancee Nikki Guidish.
Reed has since told The Times that he found Rory McIlroy and Billy Horschel's comments "insulting" at Wentworth.
Johnson, who is looking to become the first player to win consecutive LIV Golf titles this week, has incredibly amassed just shy of $10 million in total prize money from the first four LIV Golf tournaments.
Rich Harvest Farms is located 49 miles from Downtown Chicago in Sugar Grove and according to LIV Golf "has become a popular destination for its rich golf tradition and stunning, pastoral landscapes."
The venue has hosted Arnold Palmer Cups, NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships, Western Juniors, a Western Amateur, and the Solheim Cup down the years.
The winner of each LIV Golf tournament receives $4 million, while team winners split a pot of $3 million.
LIV Golf Chicago marks the fifth tournament of the inaugural eight- event season.
The circuit will then head to Thailand, Saudi Arabia and conclude in Florida in October.
