This LIV Golf statistic about Pat Perez is INCREDIBLE...

After the inaugural event of the LIV Golf Series took place at Centurion Golf Club in June, Pat Perez was one of a group of PGA Tour players who wanted a piece of the action.

During his first press conference at the Portland Invitational, Perez openly admitted that choosing LIV over the PGA Tour was like "winning the lottery."

He also spoke about spending more time with his family by playing less golf. In fact, it was his wife who revealed he had joined the tour commissioned by Greg Norman.

Perez included himself on the original 11-man list of plaintiffs who filed an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour. But now, he has taken his name off this list admitting he didn't think it through.

The 46-year-old, who first joined the Tour in 2002, won three times before making the leap. His last win came at the CIMB Classic in 2018, but he has experienced far more success with LIV.

Through the three invitationals he has played at Portland, Bedminster and Boston, he is yet to finish in the top 10. However, he has won the team format three times in a row for 4 Aces.

He has incredibly earned more in three events than he did in his 19 starts on the PGA Tour in 2023. Including three separate team bonuses of $750,000, he has earned £2,655,667 so far.

On the Tour, he earned just $1,071,981 which is less than half of his LIV earnings. It's important to note that we have only reached the tip of the iceberg in terms of the progress and investment that the series is willing to go to as well.

Perez was reportedly offered $10 million to leave the Tour, but after the court battle which saw Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones denied places in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, it was revealed that tournament earnings are recouped against up-front fees.

Nonetheless, Perez certainly wasn't wrong when he said he won the lottery and he will continue to do so for as long as he is on the LIV Golf roster.
