Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to buy a golf clubhouse only so he can knock it down - as it spoils his view.
The Sun report that Ronaldo, 37, is planning on moving his 12,000 sq ft property at Quinta da Marinha next year.
Ronaldo has been consistently linked with a move away from Old Trafford. He currently lives in Cheshire with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their children.
It has been reported that Ronaldo's lawyers are in negotiations with Oitavos Golf Club and their owner Miguel Champalimaud as he looks to demolish it and build a driveway to his crib.
The publication have quoted a source saying: "The clubhouse was a problem for him so he wants the problem removed. Cost is not an issue – he is a perfectionist who can afford perfection."
Ronaldo, who earns £500,000 a week, purchased the property for £10m but it is believed to now be worth £17m.
Apparently, the football icon owns as many as 30 supercars. He also jets around the world in his private plane, worth approximately £20m.
His pad in Portugal is reportedly where he wants to retire with his family when his playing days are over.
The lavish pad features a view of the sea with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
There is also a cinema, spa, a games room and is not far from Cascais village.
Ronaldo surpassed $1bn in career earnings in 2020. As of February 2022, his net worth was believed to have been at least $500m.
