Ian Poulter's son Luke will make his England Golf debut next month at the 2025 European Amateur Team Championships.

The 20-year-old, who is in the same field as his father at next week's Final Qualifying for The Open, is part of the six-man roster that will head to Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in County Kerry over 8-11 July.

The European Amateur Team Championship, first held in 1959, is one of the oldest tournaments in the European Golf Association's roster and is contested annually by 16 national teams.

It features two days of stroke play followed by three days of match play, with teams competing for medals or to avoid relegation to Division 2.

England has the most victories (11), followed by Scotland (eight) and Ireland and Spain (six).

Meanwhile, the girls' team will be looking to defend the title they won last year in Sweden.

The six-player team includes: Sadie Adams, Lauren Crump, Charlotte Naughton, Annabel Peaford, Matilde Santilli and Elizabeth Wilson.

The European Girls' Team Championship will be contested at Slaley Hall in Northumberland over 8-11 July.

Ben Bolton, Harry Cox, Thomas Hartshorne, Toby Peters, Charlie Rushbridge and Jack Swift have been selected to head to Kaskada Brno in the Czech Republic for the European Boys' Team Championship.

England Women will make their way across the channel to France to play in the European Ladies' Team Championship.

Sophia Fullbrook, Lily Hirst, Isla McDonald-O'Brien, Nellie Ong, Patience Rhodes and Davina Xanh have been named in the squad to play at Golf de Chantilly.

Stephen Burnett, England Men's deputy performance director, said: "We have four really strong teams once again and it'll be a proud occasion for all 24 players across the four teams, getting the chance to wear the Rose.

"It's a great opportunity for the girls who are looking to defend their crown, particularly as they're on home soil, while for the boys, they'll be looking to pick up a medal for the fourth year on the trot.

"There have been some outstanding team wins this year already, as well as a host of remarkable individual achievements, particularly for men’s and women’s players, so we are confident that every team is capable of competing for medals on all fronts."
