PGA Tour stars celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family
As Christmas approaches, many players put their clubs down to celebrate the annual holiday of Thanksgiving.
The festive period at the end of the calendar year is often a time for rest and recuperation for many players on the PGA Tour.
The 25th of November was certainly no exception. Thanksgiving is one of the most popular and long-awaited days in the year for America and also other places such as Canada.
The holiday originates from giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and the first celebrations of this in the USA can be dated back to the early 17th century.
Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November, which was yesterday and many PGA Tour stars got together with their family and friends for the festivities.

Rickie Fowler and his wife Allison celebrated Thanksgiving by welcoming their new baby daughter to the world. Maya Fowler was born last week and many fellow players passed on their congratulations on Fowler's Instagram account.
Justin Thomas and his fiancé Jillian Wisniewski went to Troubador Golf and Field Club in Tennessee with their trusty pet dog to enjoy the holiday.
Bryson DeChambeau, ahead of his match with Brooks Koepka in Las Vegas today, celebrated Thanksgiving with his family at what looked like a substantial meal out.
"Happy Thanksgiving to the best fam I could ask for! So blessed and grateful for everything we have all been given. No time to stop though let's keep it moving forward!" DeChambeau wrote on Instagram.
Phil Mickelson will take up commentary duties alongside NBA's Charles Barkley for The Match later, but he still found time to post his good wishes to everyone on Thanksgiving.

World No. 5 Xander Schauffele celebrated the popular vacation by playing in the Wishbone Brawl, which is an exhibition golf match playing with vintage persimmon woods at Goat Hill Park in California.

It was great to see so many PGA Tour players sit back and relax away from the golf course, while they recharge their batteries to go again in 2022.
