Cameron Smith set to walk out to MULLET song at Zurich Classic

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans always makes for an interesting event as we not only get to see a rare team event on the PGA Tour, but we also watch the players walk onto the tee to a song of their choice.

There have been some belters in the past and I'm sure we will be in for a treat when we watch the players in action at TPC Louisiana this week and one pairing to keep an eye out for is Australian duo Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman.

Smith has been rocking what he describes as a "filthy" mullet on the PGA Tour for a while now and he loves it so much, he's not quite sure when it will be coming off, despite his wife's many requests.

As the World No.25 prepares to tee it up alongside his friend Leishman, Smith was asked which song the pair had picked to come out to this week.

“It’s actually funny, Leish found this song or looked up a song and he’s already entered it… I didn’t even get a choice,” said Smith. “It’s called ‘The Mullet Song.’ So we’re going to be rocking that going to the first tee. And maybe a few other surprises. So it will be good fun.”

Leishman, who recently finished in a tie for 5th at The Masters, was then asked about the back story of how he found the song and the World No.37 said he had Google to thank.

“Back story was Google. Mullet songs,” said Leishman. “I can’t remember who sings it. I should have looked that up. But, yeah, I don’t know, it just sounded like a good ‘you go’ song. It’s pretty funny and very true, particularly in Cam’s case. So, yeah, it’s going to be… I think that the walk-up music is something different, I think it’s fun, you’ve got to try and make it fun and embrace it. And I think we’ll do that and yeah try and enjoy ourselves, get the day started off on the right foot and go from there.”
