Jon Rahm didn't win the WM Phoenix Open, but he did join an exclusive club with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and a bunch of Hall of Famers.
The reason for that? Rahm saw his PGA Tour earnings exceed $40m. Only 25 players in history have accomplished this impressive milestone.
Rahm was going to pass this sooner rather than later, given that he came into TPC Scottsdale with $39,908,792 in earnings.
It was an elevated event as well, meaning that he only needed to finish 38th or better to push him over $40m.
Rahm, in the end, finished solo third behind Nick Taylor and Scottie Scheffler, taking home a cheque for $1,380,000. He's now at $41,288,792.
Had Rahm triumphed in Phoenix, it would've been his third PGA Tour win in six weeks.
It has taken Rahm 136 starts to reach $40m. For Woods, he needed 146. They both reached the milestone at the age of 28.

There are a number of players who are within sight of this milestone, too.
LIV Golf defectors Kevin Na, Patrick Reed, Brooks Koepka and Marc Leishman are all within $5m of reaching $40m.
