"Patrick Reed is quickly losing the respect of his Ryder Cup teammates"

In the latest episode of Tour Chat, we discuss the aftermath of Patrick Reed's incident at the Farmers Insurance Open and who we think will be winning on the PGA Tour and European Tour this week.

Patrick Reed might have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the PGA and USGA rules officials, but how long will it be until his actions start to have a negative affect on his Ryder Cup experience?

Reed's fellow PGA Tour players - and American ones might I add - have already said the issue left a sour taste in their mouths and with the Ryder Cup taking place on home turf later this year, Team USA could be facing a few inside problems at Whistling Straits.

In the latest episode of Tour Chat, we discuss Reed's emphatic victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, as well as the "cheating" allegations he caused himself and who we think will perform well in this week's events.

REED CAPTURES FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN

Despite making the headlines before winning the tournament, Reed's performance at Torrey Pines was nothing short of spectacular.

His victory marked his ninth on the PGA Tour and the five-shot margain was the biggest of his career.

There's no denying that Reed really is one of the most talented players on the PGA Tour and his short game is as good as any, but it's hard to look past what he did during Saturday's third round.

This isn't the first time that Reed has been accused of cheating and it throws question marks around Team USA's Ryder Cup chances this year.

Reed is a phenomenal player to have at the Ryder Cup in terms of his match-play capabilities, but he seems to be burning bridges with his morally wrong decisions on the golf course.

Xander Schauffele, who will play a vital role for the USA at Whistling Straits, said that Reed is "protected by the PGA Tour" and Lanto Griffin said Reed's actions "p*sses off"  other players in the field.

At 30-years-old, Reed has plenty of team competitions to come in his future, but will we soon see American fans booing him at these events? Time will tell.
