Phil Mickelson has gone on a Twitter blocking spree this week with numerous golf reporters, golf fans and golf pros failing to make the cut.
After recently accusing the PGA Tour of "obnoxious greed" on social media, Mickelson has been all the talk of the golfing world as speculation mounts that he will soon be switching from the PGA Tour over to a new Saudi Golf League.
It is understood Mickelson has been offered a huge sum of money to join Greg Norman's imminent new golf super league, which is also looking to attract other big name players including Bryson DeChambeau.
I just can't believe I did that. I'm such an idiot. pic.twitter.com/tunrvM497r— No Laying Up (@NoLayingUp) February 12, 2022
Mickelson's recent comments about the PGA Tour have been met with stern criticism in the golf media, none bigger than from golf analyst and one-time PGA Tour winner Brandel Chamblee who labelled Lefty a "puppet".
Golf's oldest major winner spoke at length to Golf Digest earlier this month from Saudi Arabia ahead of the Saudi International and he was highly critical of the PGA Tour's distribution of wealth and took issue with how his media rights are handled.

Mickelson, who ranks second in the all-time career earnings list behind Tiger Woods with just under $100 million, has now gone on a Twitter blocking spree.
GolfMagic has thankfully made the cut as it stands, but others have unfortunately not been so fortunate with 'No Laying Up' revealing they had been blocked, as too renowned golf reporter Geoff Shackelford.
Ladies European Tour pro Meghan MacLaren revealed she had been blocked by Mickelson, as too Sam Harrop, the man who writes a number of songs on his piano.
Many others have been blocked, too.
Blocked me too. Seems like he is really screening comments for any negative. Looks like he quickly got used to Saudi methods. pic.twitter.com/Iw6uQzSURQ— Haja (@hsdtgetb) February 12, 2022

Mickelson recently told the media: "I do ready my own press, but I'm not emotionally affected by it.
"I view myself as an object to be discussed so I don't take criticism personally.
"If I don't like what someone says about me on social media, I simply block them."
