DP World Tour bans Gavin Green for three months over anti-doping violation
Breaking: Gavin Green banned by DP World Tour in anti-doping case.
Gavin Green has been suspended for three months by the DP World Tour after breaching its Anti-Doping Policy, the European Tour Group confirmed on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Malaysian tested positive for a prohibited substance found in an herbal supplement that is legally available in Asia and was taken as part of a therapeutic treatment for a medical condition.
Following an investigation, Green accepted the sanction and cooperated fully throughout the process.
The suspension has been applied retrospectively from 5 December 2025, meaning Green will be eligible to return to competitive action on 5 March 2026.
In addition to the ban, Green has been retrospectively disqualified from the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, where the doping control sample was taken.
He had finished tied 40th in the event, which was held in August.
Green, who turned professional in 2015, is currently ranked 554th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
He has been a regular presence on the DP World Tour for several seasons but is yet to secure a victory on the circuit.
Green's lone professional win came on the Asian Tour at the 2017 Taiwan Masters.
The DP World Tour confirmed there will be no further comment on the matter at this time.
The tour continues this week at the Bahrain Championship, which features a surprise appearance from LIV Golf star Sergio Garcia as he makes his return to the DP World Tour.
