Charley Hull insists it's only a matter of time before she wins a major championship.

The 29-year-old captured her third LPGA Tour title over the weekend at the Queen City Championship in Ohio.

She trailed by one shot heading into 72nd hole but overhauled the top-ranked Jeeno Thitikul after the Thai golfer four-putted out of nowhere

It represented her first victory in the United States since 2022 and arrived after tough season whereby she has had to deal with several injuries and setbacks.

Hull was forced to withdrew from the Evian Championship in July after collapsing twice on the golf course while suffering from a virus.

In the same month she injured her back whilst lifting a box from her car and, in August, was forced to pull out of the PIF London Championship after sustaining ankle ligament damage.

The golfer tripped on a curb in the car park, sparking fears she had broken her ankle.

In a wide-ranging discussion with Sky Sports' Kelly Cates, Hull declared the number of runner-up finishes in major championships she has amassed since turning professional as a teenager is an achievement in itself.

She has played bridesmaid at a major championship on four occasions - the most recent of which arrived at the 2025 Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl.

Hull pursued eventual champion Miyu Yamashita throughout the final round but consecutive bogeys on the 16th and 17th ended her hopes.

"I've got the most runner-up finishes in majors in the past 10 years out of anyone on the men's tour or the women's tour.

"I think it's me and... I can't remember who it was. There's a couple of others on the men's tour. But that's an achievement in itself because majors are hard.

"Especially to come second four times. And I'm so close and I will get there one day."

Elsewhere, Hull spoke about her early life in golf, how she always knew she was going to turn professional, why being named rookie of the year in her debut season "didn't mean much to me", thrashing Nelly Korda in the Solheim Cup and how her ADHD diagnosis is her "secret weapon".
