Collin Morikawa captured his seventh career PGA Tour title and first in nearly two and half years with victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Morikawa, 29, trailed 54-hole leader Akshay Bhatia by two shots entering the final round following a brilliant 10-under 62 that vaulted him up the leaderboard on Saturday.
The two-time major champion then closed things out with a clutch birdie on the par-5 18th for a round of 67 and a narrow one-shot victory over Min Woo Lee on a joint tournament record score of 22-under par.
Morikawa was tied for the lead heading down the par-5 18th after just having made a bogey on the par-3 17th.
But with Lee in the clubhouse at 21-under par, Morikawa knew a birdie on 18 would seal the deal.
The American split the fairway with a 3-wood but he then had to wait the best part of 20 minutes due to Jacob Bridgeman receiving a ruling on the beach in the group ahead.
But Morikawa kept his composure and eventually sent a mid-iron just off the edge of the green.
Morikawa kept things simple from there by taking out the putter and he sent his ball down to a foot before tapping it home for a deserved win.
Victory for Morikawa in the first Signature Event of the 2026 PGA Tour season sees him take home $3.6m.
The win marks Morikawa's seventh on the PGA Tour and his first since the ZOZO Championship in October 2023.
"This is special for a lot of reasons. I have put countless hours, nights, probably too many hours thinking about golf and it takes up a lot of my life, it's part of who I am it really is," said Morikawa, who vaults to third in the FedEx Cup standings.
"I am so thankful for the people around me and those who keep believing in me, I kept believing in myself.
"At the start of the week it didn't feel like this was possible, but with the right steps and the right belief I was able to put one step in front of the other, hit some great shots and make some great putts."
Worth the wait 🏆

Scottie Scheffler nearly produced the comeback of all comebacks when closing with a stunning 9-under 63.
Scheffler's Sunday saw two firsts in his PGA Tour career in that he made three eagles during the round and he drained 151 feet worth of putts.
The runaway World No.1, who struck a stunning 6-iron to two feet on the par-5 18th, finished the week in a tie for fourth alongside Tommy Fleetwood,(66) on 20-under par.
Scheffler has finished inside the top five in his last eight appearances.

Sam Burns will be left thinking what might have been as he held the lead on the back nine, only to make a costly three-putt par on the par-5 14th followed by an untimely bogey on the par-3 17th after his ball plugged in the sand.
Burns ended up carding a 67 to finish in a tie for sixth on 19-under par alongside overnight leader Bhatia, who closed out with a lacklustre 72.
Elsewhere, Rory McIlroy closed out with a brilliant 64 to finish tied 12th on 17-under par.
