Farmers Insurance Open Tee Times: First and Second Round schedule at Torrey Pines as Brooks Koepka makes much-anticipated PGA Tour return.

One of the PGA Tour's most demanding early-season tests returns this week as the Farmers Insurance Open gets underway — and all eyes will be firmly fixed on Torrey Pines and the high-profile return of Brooks Koepka.

The opening two rounds of the tournament will be played across Torrey Pines’ famous North and South Courses in San Diego, California, before the field is cut and competition moves exclusively to the punishing South Course for the weekend.

Longer, tougher and exposed to coastal winds, the South typically plays several shots harder than the North and often proves decisive in separating contenders from the chasing pack.

The first two rounds will also mark Koepka’s return to regular PGA Tour competition, with ESPN providing live coverage as part of a landmark broadcast.

How will Brooks Koepka get on at the Farmers Insurance Open?

Choices

Koepka, a five-time major champion, is teeing it up via a new Returning Member Program announced earlier this month by CEO Brian Rolapp.

The former World No.1 has not played a PGA Tour event outside the majors since March 2022, but his appearance at Torrey Pines is part of a broader commitment to the schedule.

In addition to this week in San Diego, Koepka has confirmed starts at next week’s WM Phoenix Open and the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.

This week marks Koepka’s fifth career appearance at Torrey Pines, where his best finish remains a tie for fourth at the 2021 US Open.

Farmers Insurance Open: Featured Groups

Koepka will play the opening two rounds of the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa.

This is without doubt the marquee group of the first two rounds at Torrey Pines.

Koepka's group tees off at 12.32pm local time at Torrey Pines South on Thursday.

They then tee off at 1.38pm at Torrey Pines North on Friday.

Homa boasts an outstanding record in California, with four of his six PGA Tour victories coming in the Golden State, including his 2023 Farmers Insurance Open triumph when he held off Keegan Bradley by two shots.

Åberg is competing in this event for the third consecutive year and arrives with strong Torrey Pines credentials of his own, having claimed victory on the South Course at The Genesis Invitational last season after the event was relocated due to widespread fires in the Los Angeles area.

Other featured groups expected to feature during ESPN’s broadcast window include defending champion Harris English, paired with San Diego native Xander Schauffele and reigning US Open champion JJ Spaun.

Former Farmers Insurance Open winners Jason Day and Justin Rose will tee it up together alongside Hideki Matsuyama, while recent Sony Open champion Chris Gotterup is grouped with Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott.

The Farmers Insurance Open uses a two-course rotation for the first 36 holes, with all players facing both the North and South Courses before the cut. All weekend play is contested on the South Course.

This week also marks the PGA Tour's broadcast network debut for the 2026 season, with live weekend coverage airing on both Golf Channel and CBS.

Official tee times for the first and second rounds will be confirmed by the PGA Tour on Tuesday.
