Charley Hull & Michael Brennan and Lexi Thompson & Wyndham Clark vaulted to the top of the leaderboard with record-opening Scramble rounds on day one at the Grant Thornton Invitational.
Hull & Brennan and Thompson & Clark fired rounds of 17-under 55 to hit the front early in the mixed 16-team event at Tiburón Golf Club & The Ritz-Carlton Naples.
They have opened up a two-shot lead on the chasing pack.
Both teams' scorching early pace topples the previous tournament 18-hole low of 16-under 56 set by Nelly Korda and Tony Finau in 2023.
In the easiest and most relaxed format of the week, Scramble, both players tee off and then both play from the best result each time until the ball is holed.
Hull was initially supposed to be playing alongside Daniel Berger, but the American pulled out at the last minute and was replaced by big-hitting Brennan, who recently earned his first PGA Tour title at the Bank of Utah Championship in his rookie season.
Brennan started the year outside the top 700 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and he now incredibly looks on from the 35th rung of the ladder.
Hull has also enjoyed a brilliant season, vaulting up to a career-high fifth in the Rolex Rankings.

Despite Brennan completely misjudging Hull's character on their first ever meeting earlier in the week, the team known as Gym Bros for their love of fitness gelled extremely well in Florida on Friday.
Their round was highlighted by two eagles on the par-5 6th and par-5 14th, and they only had three pars on the card at the par-4 2nd, par-4 17th and par-4 18th.
"I feel like our games are pretty similar," said Hull.
"We gelled pretty well and both hit some good shots."
Brennan added: "We both hit the ball well and always got two good shots into the green, Charley would always hit first and she hit some shots very close and it allowed me to fire at the flags.
"Charley putted unbelievable, she made everything. I made very few putts today which was nice."

Thompson & Clark's round was exactly the same with two eagles on the card, albeit at the par-5 6th and par-4 10th.
Lauren Coughlin & Andrew Novak lie in solo third on 15-under par.
Jennifer Kupcho & Chris Gotterup, Rose Zhang & Michael Kim and Nelly Korda & Denny McCarthy round out the top five on 14-under par.
Defending champions Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp remain in the hunt at 13-under par.
Pre-tournament favourites Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners, who have finished inside the top five both the last two years, have work to do at 11-under par.
Saturday's second round is foursomes, a much-tougher alternate-shot format.
Sunday's final round is modified fourball, where players both tee off before then switching from there.
The tournament does not count as an official PGA Tour or LPGA event, but it is hosted by both Tours.
