Optum Golf Channel Games results: Final scores from Scheffler/McIlroy exhibition
Optum Golf Channel Games results: Scottie Scheffler got the bragging rights over Rory McIlroy after the American's side beat the Northern Irishman's in a play-off.
Scottie Scheffler got the bragging rights over Rory McIlroy at the inaugural Optum Golf Channel Games.
The unique event saw the reigning world number one, Sam Burns, Keegan Bradley and Luke Clanton take on the Masters champion, Luke Donald, Shane Lowry and Haotong Li.
Both teams faced five challenges - including a relay and a timed drive competition - at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.
Scheffler's side picked up the first two points with wins in the driving and short game events, before McIlroy's squad hit back with victory in the team relay.
The aforementioned Clanton, an emerging talent on the PGA Tour, put the Americans 3-1 up in the 14-club challenge, but a "bonus point" from McIlroy saw the teams draw level.
It saw McIlroy and Scheffler square off to determine the victor, with the four-time major champion hitting his shot from 47 yards once inch closer than his counterpart to secure the win.

It is the last we will see of Scheffler and McIlroy before the 2025/2026 season begins next January.
Scheffler has not outlined his schedule but it is likely that the 29-year-old will be at the curtain-raising Sony Open in Hawaii.
The PGA Tour was forced to cancel the traditional season-opener, The Sentry, because the course has been severely affected by drought conditions and is unplayable.
McIlroy will begin his season once again in the Middle East, teeing it up at the Dubai Invitational and Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour before heading to the United States.
Scheffler was recently crowned the PGA Tour's player of the year for the fourth year in a row, joining Tiger Woods as only the second golfer in history to pull off the feat.
He led the PGA Tour with six victories this year, including wins at the PGA Championship and The Open.
Scheffler also became the first player since Woods in 2000 to lead the PGA Tour with the lowest scoring average in each of the four rounds.
He also posted 15 consecutive top-10 finishes.
McIlroy's season was arguably the best of his career, with the Ulsterman winning at Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, Augusta National, the K Club and being crowned the Race to Dubai winner for the seventh time.
McIlroy was also key to Europe's Ryder Cup success at Bethpage Black in September.
