Marco Penge has reportedly turned down a "substantial eight-figure offer" to join the LIV Golf League so he can play on the PGA Tour for the first time in his career.

Penge, 27, earned his PGA Tour card for 2026 via the DP World Tour Rankings last season.

The big-hitting Englishman narrowly kept hold of his DP World Tour card in 2024 but then completely turned his game around in 2025 by winning three times.

Penge won the Hainan Classic in April before winning the Danish Golf Championship in August and his biggest title to date at the Open de Espana in October.

He ended up finishing the DP World Tour season second behind Rory McIlroy, who captured a seventh Race to Dubai to move within one of Colin Montgomerie's all-time European Tour Order of Merit record.

As a result of his breakthrough season on the DP World Tour, Penge led a group of 10 players via the DP World Tour Rankings onto the PGA Tour for 2026.

Penge, according to Flushing It on X / Twitter, faced a similar situation this off-season to that of Laurie Canter, who also earned his PGA Tour card.

While Canter jumped ship to join LIV Golf, Penge decided against it.

Per Flushing It's sources, Penge snubbed a "substantial eight-figure offer to join Majesticks GC".

Majesticks GC is co-captained by Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.

The all-British team also comprises Sam Horsfield and new signing Canter.

Sweden's Henrik Stenson was on the team the past four years but he was relegated in 2025.

With Penge turning down a huge LIV Golf offer, it proves just how much competing on the PGA Tour truly means to him.

The decision to remain on the PGA Tour continues a frustrating transfer window for those on the breakaway Saudi-bankrolled league.

Not only has Penge turned them down, but also most recently, PGA Tour stars Si Woo Kim, Max Greyserman and Akshay Bhatia.

LIV has managed to attract Canter, Victor Perez, Thomas Detry and Elvis Smylie, however.

It's also understood Ben An is going to become the new captain of Korean Golf Club, formerly the Iron Heads, with Kevin Na making way.

Although Penge is sticking with the PGA Tour, he is making one big transfer in 2026.

He confirmed today he is leaving Mizuno and moving across to PXG.
