Marco Penge kicks off debut PGA Tour season with huge equipment announcement
The white-hot Brit will be departing longtime sponsor Mizuno for the 2026 season.

In recent memory, there have been precious few golfers to hit the PGA Tour in their debut season with as much anticipation as that of Englishman Marco Penge.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a stratospheric 2025 season, soaring from a rank lower than 400th in the world. At the time of writing to a career high 29th, securing a Masters berth in the process with victory at the Open de España over the weekend and his PGA Tour card after finishing second to Rory McIlroy in the DP World Tour Race to Dubai standings.
Penge, it seems, is very much ready for primetime. Now, kicking off his season in earnest, he has announced the first major equipment deal of his PGA Tour career, departing longtime sponsor Mizuno to join the staff team at innovative American brand PXG.
Famed for its premium designs, military-inspired insignia (Bob Parsons, the company's founder, is a US Marine veteran) and progressive, tech-led philosophy to making clubs, PXG has slowly but steadily increased its presence on tour in the last few years, signing the likes of Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Eric Cole and Jake Knapp to its roster.
This will be a fascinating gear signing to watch: Marco Penge has agreed to a multi-year club, hat, staff bag deal with @PXG. Was previously with Mizuno.

Penge immediately becomes one of the company's highest-profile signings as well as its highest-ranked staff player in the OWGR standings.
"From the first conversation, it was clear PXG is obsessed with performance," Penge said in a statement.
"The fitting process, the people, the technology - it’s all built to help players compete at the highest level. I’m excited to work closely with the team and put PXG equipment in play every week."
Many of Penge's former clubs will make way for new models from the Arizona-based company, including a new Lightning Tour Mid driver, a Secret Weapon mini driver, and a new set of 0317 ST irons.
He'll reportedly be sticking with his Mizuno Pro FliHi utility iron however, along with his trusted Titleist Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron putter.
Penge was one of the few Mizuno staffers to use both metalwoods and irons from the storied Japanese manufacturer, and his loss will come as a blow to a brand very much in need of eyeballs at the tour level.
