LIV Golf recruit Tyrrell Hatton and Scotland's Robert MacIntyre have become the latest players to qualify for the European Ryder Cup team.

They join Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose

All five players featured in the 2023 team that defeated Team USA by five points at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome.

Ireland's Shane Lowry currently occupies the sixth and final place, but Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard could leapfrog the former Open champ.

Europe's qualification process concludes after this week's British Masters at the Belfry.

Rasmus, the twin brother of Nicolai, will take the final spot should he finish joint 29th or better in Birmingham.

Nicolai was one of captain Luke Donald's wildcards for the 2023 matches.

Donald will announce his six captain's picks on 1 September.

Former Masters champ Jon Rahm - who claimed his second individual title on LIV Golf in Indianapolis - is expected to be included.

England's Harry Hall and Marco Penge will still harbour slim hopes they will receive a life-changing call from captain Donald.

Penge won his second DP World Tour title over the weekend in Denmark, while Hall advanced to the PGA Tour's season finale at East Lake.

Hall revealed his mind coach is Sir Nick Faldo's former caddie Fanny Sunesson after he sealed his spot at the Tour Championship.

Elsewhere, Sepp Straka, Ludvig Aberg and Viktor Hovland are expected to receive captain's picks.

Likewise Matthew Fitzpatrick, who has finally started showing some good form in recent months.

How is the U.S. Ryder Cup team shaping up?

All six of the U.S. qualifiers are now known.

Bryson DeChambeau, Russell Henley and Harris English were all confirmed on Sunday following the conclusion of the BMW Championship

They join World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun and two-time major winner Xander Schauffele.

Captain Keegan Bradley will name his six picks on 27 August.

There is a slim chance Bradley could still pick himself and becoming the youngest playing captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963.

Though Bradley's form has taken a dip since he won the Travelers Championship in June.

Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa were among the high-profile names to miss out on automatic qualification, along with Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay.

Bradley will now have to decide whether he leans on experience or takes some lesser-known but more in-form golfers.

Ben Griffin, Maverick McNealy and Andrew Novak are highly thought of, but none have ever appeared in a Ryder Cup before.

The 2025 Ryder Cup matches will be played over 26-28 September.

Elsewhere, Sam Burns is currently 16th in the standings but has a very strong case for inclusion.

Bradley will also face a tough decision over whether to include Cameron Young, who finally broke through on the PGA Tour at the Wyndham Championship.

Brian Harman is another potential candidate, though some believe Bethpage Black does not suit his game.
