U.S. Ryder Cup standings: Who is going to Bethpage Black?
Ryder Cup standings: Check out which U.S. golfers are in line to book their spots onto Keegan Bradley's team that will head to Bethpage Black in New York.
The 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team is beginning to take shape.
Qualifying for Keegan Bradley's side began last March and will conclude on 17 August following the conclusion of the BMW Championship.
At this point, the top six players in the U.S. Ryder Cup standings will qualify automatically for Bradley's team.
Bradley, of course, will then have six captain's picks to choose from.
At this stage of the 2024-2025 season, Bradley will have mixed feelings about how his team is shaping up.
Scottie Scheffler was forced to delay his start to the season after he cut his hand on the stem of a wine glass over the Christmas period.
But the American reinforced his status as the best player in the world with his victory at the second men's major of 2025.
Scheffler was simply dominant at as he won the PGA Championship - his third major title overall - at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina.
It represented his 15th PGA Tour title overall since his breakout 2022 season.
Scheffler also won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson at the beginning of May and now has a comfortable lead at the top of the Team USA Ryder Cup standings.
Bradley will hope that Scheffler will be able to improve upon his 0-2-2 record when the biennial contest was held at Marco Simone in Italy two years ago.
Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Russell Henley are currently occupying the other automatic qualifying spots.
LIV recruit DeChambeau once again contended for a major championship victory but ultimately finished five strokes behind Scheffler at the PGA Championship.
Cause for optimism?
Justin Thomas - a controversial pick by Zach Johnson in 2023 - finally ended a winless drought in April at the RBC Heritage.
Thomas had not won since the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills.
He backed up his victory at Hilton Head with another top five finish at the Truist Championship.
Russell Henley - who partnered Scheffler at the 2024 Presidents Cup in Canada - picked up his fifth PGA Tour win at the aforementioned Arnold Palmer Invitational.
And Brian Harman won his fourth PGA Tour title at the Valero Texas Open.
Brian Campbell, Joe Highsmith and Harris English are the only other American golfers that have won on the PGA Tour so far in 2025.
Andrew Novak, who is currently seventh in the rankings, teamed up with Ben Griffin to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
How are the LIV Golf players getting on?
As mentioned, DeChambeau is the standout player.
The American played in the final group alongside Rory McIlroy at The Masters and was very much a factor at the PGA Championship.
It is more than likely at this point that DeChambeau will represent the red, white and blue in September.
However, it looks as though Dustin Johnson's best days are behind him.
Johnson missed cuts at The Masters and the PGA Championship.
As did Brooks Koepka.
Koepka and Johnson could keep themselves in the conversation for a captain's pick if their performances pick up and they produce the goods at the U.S. Open and The Open.
Elsewhere, Bradley will be keeping tabs on Patrick Reed.
Reed has an overall Ryder Cup record of 7-3-2 from three appearances.
His last appearance in the showdown was the in 2018 at Le Golf National in Paris, but by finishing second at The Masters, Reed demonstrated that his game is still there.
GolfMagic has listed the current standings below and will update this page on a weekly basis.

How the U.S. Ryder Cup team is selected
The top six players in the U.S. Ryder Cup points standings automatically qualify.
The points system rewards players for their performances in major championships and PGA Tour events.
More points are awarded for majors, hence why Xander Schauffele has already amassed a significant amount.
The qualifying period spans a two-year cycle, starting after the previous Ryder Cup and concluding a month before the next.
Captain's picks
Bradley will have six captain's picks but this has not always been the case.
Before the 2008 Cup at Valhalla, the U.S. captain was given two picks by the PGA of America.
The number was increased to four by then-captain Paul Azinger.
It was a strategy that ultimately proving successful, as the red, white and blue ran out 16 1⁄2 – 11 1⁄2 winners.
Tom Watson decided to have three captain's picks in 2014 and Jim Furyk chose four in 2018.
Steve Stricker and Zach Johnson opted for six in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
