Just days after Tiger Woods' son Charlie Woods captured his first AJGA title, Ian Poulter's son Luke will attempt to play his way into the U.S. Open at Oakmont from 12-15 June.

Tiger's son Charlie Woods, 16, captured his first individual title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational on Wednesday, but he was unfortunately unsuccessful when trying to qualify for the U.S. Open earlier this month.

Poulter's son Luke, however, shot a 5-under 66 to come through his qualifier and he now advances to U.S. Open Final Qualfiying on Monday.

Luke, 21, will look to earn a limited number of spots in the U.S. Open at Emerald Dunes Club.

A total of 84 players will compete in the West Palm Beach qualifier.

The Emerald Dunes event is one of 10 U.S. Open Final Qualifiers taking place on Monday.

Nine of the qualifiers are in the United States and one of them is in Canada.

Luke will need to be at his best to qualify for a first U.S. Open as he will be up against a number of PGA Tour players.

LIV Golf star and 2010 U.S Open champion Graeme McDowell is also in his qualifier.

Oakmont will be hosting the U.S. Open for a record 10th time from  12-15 June.

LIV Golf superstar Bryson DeChambeau will be seeking to defend his title and capture a U.S. Open hat-trick.

DeChambeau last year held on for a memorable one-shot victory over Rory McIlroy, who missed two short putts on the closing holes.

Luke Poulter is enjoying a fantastic season at college in 2025.

He recently won his first title at the Schenkel Invitational at Georgia’s Forest Heights Country Club.

Luke finished the three-round tournament on 8-under par and one shot clear of his nearest rival.

The Englishman's steady rise through the collegiate ranks this season comes off the back of a difficult 2024 campaign where he injured his back.

On top of his recent victory, Luke tied for fourth in the NCAA Bremerton (Wash.) Regional and he has posted five top-10s as a sophomore in 2025.

LIV Golf star and European Ryder Cup hero Poulter has made it no secret of his son's talent in recent years on social media.

Poulter, like Woods, is a very proud father as he watches his son attempt to follow in his footsteps.

In high school, Luke was chosen the 2021 Orlando Sentinel Player of the Year.

Ian Poulter is not eligible to compete in the U.S. Open based on his world ranking of 1,615th.

That is obviously a result of LIV Golf League events still remaining shut out of OWGR points.

Poulter's best career result at the U.S. Open was a T12 at Winged Foot in 2006.

Scoring from all 10 qualifiers will be available at usopen.com

Golf Channel will provide 10 hours of coverage of “Golf’s Longest Day” .

The broadcast times are: noon-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-midnight EDT.
