The third men's major of the year, the U.S. Open, will be played at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Open will feature a field of 156 players from around the world.

It includes a mix of exempt players (who qualified based on past performance and world rankings) and those who advance through qualifying rounds.

The 2025 edition of the major will take place from 12-15 June.

The field will be headlined by players such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Jon Rahm, and defending champion Bryson DeChambeau.

In addition to Rahm and DeChambeau, LIV Golf recruits Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton, and Dustin Johnson will also believe they can contend.

Phil Mickelson needs to win the U.S. Open to complete the career grand slam.

It will be a tall order for "Lefty" to join the history books now, though, given he is 54 years old.

The field for the 2025 U.S. Open is yet to be finalised, but below GolfMagic has listed below those who have already booked their place and how they qualified.

Final qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Open will take place on June 2.

Referred to as "golf's longest day," players across the United States and Canada will compete in several 36-hole tournaments to try and earn spots in the U.S. Open.

At each final qualifying site, one to four spots are typically available, depending on the size and strength of the field.

Overall, around 10 to 15 players will earn spots in the U.S. Open through final qualifying.

Players ranked in the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking, who are not otherwise exempt, will also be added to the U.S. Open field on June 9.
